Institute of Clerks of Works and Construction Inspectorate of GB

I am a long standing member of the Institute of Clerks of Works and Construction Inspectorate of GB. Membership to the Institute is achieved through a rigorous interview process, often taking some candidates several years to obtain full status.

Recently, the academic level was reviewed which resulted in the MICWCI designation being benchmarked as comparable to Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) Level 6 (Bachelor’s Degree, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Professional Graduate Certificate in Education).

This is the highest standard recognised within the construction industry relating to the inspection and reporting of poor quality workmanship, non-compliance with current building regulations and British Standards. It is recognised throughout the construction industry that the role of the Clerk of Works is essential in assuring that the highest standards are achieved. This is why you need a Clerk of Works!
